The two buildings known as Los Arquillos represent the “neoclassical expansion” of the city and form the passageway from the medieval town to the modern day city. They were built to overcome the steep slope of the hill on its southern side. Stone was used to build housing on top of them and two galleries with porches were constructed to also connect the medieval quarter and the main square.
Go down the steps opposite the Asador and when you get to the first level you have reached "Los Arquillos". Go right towards San Miguel or left towards La Cuesta de San Francisco.
